Bajo condiciones de estrés, tanto las mitocondrias como los cloroplastos de las plantas terrestres sufren cambios morfológicos que correlacionan con la disfunción de estos orgánulos. Las mitocondrias sufren una transición de la morfología y los cloroplastos generan estrómulos. En el laboratorio estudiamos las señales que inducen estos cambios utilizando a la planta modelo Arabidopsis thaliana en conjunto con herramientas de microscopía confocal y de bioenergética clásica.
