Entender la síntesis de triacilgliceroles (TAGs) es el futuro de la producción de olequímicos, por ello, investigamos los mecanismos moleculares que determinan la biosíntesis de lípidos en levaduras oleaginosas en condiciones de estrés. Investigamos el perfil de expresión y la organización de la cromatina de genes cuya función está vinculada con la acumulación de lípidos neutros. Estamos implementando el sistema CRISPR-Cas9 para generar mutantes que permitan caracterizar nuevas vías lipogénicas.
